The jellyfish, pink and green, need your help. Sit down around the Microsoft Surface and swipe the water with your fingers to guide the jellyfish away from harm. Save as many as you can to discover more dangerous locations, strong currents and more captured jellyfish.
The Jelly Reef was designed around the idea of novelty: you sit behind the device and just try whatever comes to mind, resulting in the actual gameplay of the game. You swipe over the Surface table with the tips of your fingers and the water moves along with them, enabling you to experiment and play your way through the virtual worlds of The Jelly Reef. The game asks for a collaborative effort from players, because gathering as many jellyfish as possible is the ultimate goal to achieve.
The Jelly Reef was created for the Dutch Game Garden and sponsored by Ziggo.
Pigeonhead Studios was assigned to create an entertaining game for the lobby in the building of the Dutch Game Garden, which would simultaneously introduce you to all the companies that reside in the building.
With The Jelly Reef, we succeeded in both. When the player places a small statue of the Dutch Game Garden logo on the table, all jellyfish group together around it, introducing a selection of Dutch Game Garden companies. Players can tap a company to view more information about it.
